Clare Curtis - Play Therapist - 320 x 320

Life can be challenging: it changes many times as families grow and develop. Children can find it very difficult to explain or understand how they are feeling or how these changes are affecting them. Clare aims to help children who are experiencing difficulties in their emotions and behaviour so they can become whole, complete and peaceful people.

Clare uses creative arts and play techniques in answer to the child’s wishes while recognising and respecting the need of each child to find their own path.

Clare has thirty years experience of working with children and adults who are trying to fit in. She had seventeen years experience of working with children with special educational needs. She has a B.A. (Hons) in Psychology from U.C.D. and a Post Graduate Certificate in Therapeutic Play from NUI Galway. She is completing her Post Graduate Diploma in Play Therapy, also from NUI Galway. Clare has additional qualifications in Training, Sports Psychology and Children’s Yoga.

Clare is a member of Play Therapy Ireland (PTIrl). PTIrl therapists are unique in that they are listed on the Play Therapy UK Register which is the only therapeutic body accredited by the Professional Standards Authority. She is fully Garda vetted and carries professional indemnity insurance.
